On roller-equipped models, the rear roller helps break down the loosened soil and achieve a more even surface after operation.
SİSSAN Subsoiler – Chisel Plough
Loosen compacted soil layers at depth and improve the passage of water and roots.
Effective Loosening of Subsoil Layers
SİSSAN Subsoiler – Chisel Plough is a robust tillage implement developed to break up hard and compacted soil layers that can form as a result of field traffic, repeated tillage at the same depth and the use of heavy equipment.
Its long, durable tines penetrate the lower soil layers and provide deep loosening without fully inverting the topsoil. This helps break the compacted layer known as the plough pan (hardpan), improving soil permeability and aeration.

Why Use a Subsoiler?
Deep Tillage
It loosens not only the surface but also deeper layers where compaction occurs, helping improve the soil profile.
Breaking the Hardpan
It helps break the hard plough pan that can develop after years of tillage at the same depth, creating conditions that allow roots to penetrate deeper.
Improves Water Infiltration
Loosening compacted layers makes it easier for rain and irrigation water to move into the lower soil layers and helps reduce the risk of surface water accumulation.
Promotes Root Development
A looser soil profile helps plant roots reach greater depths without being restricted by compacted layers.
Deep Loosening Without Soil Inversion
The working principle of a subsoiler – chisel plough differs from that of a conventional plough. Instead of cutting and fully inverting the soil, its tines penetrate the lower layer, lift and fracture the compacted zone, and loosen it.
This method allows mechanical loosening at the required depth without unnecessarily disturbing the entire field surface. It is particularly effective in heavy soils prone to compaction, after harvest or during preparation for the next sowing season.
More Even Field Finish with a Rear Roller
The rear
roller system, used on SİSSAN Subsoiler – Chisel Plough models, helps level and reorganise the soil lifted and loosened by the tines.
The roller helps break down larger clods, reconsolidate the loosened soil in a controlled manner and leave a more even field surface after operation. This allows deep loosening and surface finishing to be carried out in a single pass.

Heavy-Duty Frame for Demanding Field Conditions
Deep tillage generates high loads on the tines and frame. For this reason, the SİSSAN Subsoiler – Chisel Plough is built with a robust construction designed to withstand the high draft forces encountered under field conditions.
Its heavy-duty frame and durable tines are designed for reliable, long-lasting operation in demanding tillage applications on hard, dry and compacted soils.
Model Options for Different Farm Sizes and Tractor Powers
Every field and tractor has different requirements. For this reason, the
SİSSAN Subsoiler – Chisel Plough is manufactured to suit different farm sizes, tractor power ranges and operating requirements, with
1-tine, 3-tine, 5-tine and 9-tine roller-equipped model options.
1-Tine Subsoiler
A compact solution for localised deep loosening, tractor wheel tracks and applications requiring intensive work in specific compacted areas.
3-Tine Subsoiler
Provides a balanced combination of working width and draft requirement for medium-sized tractors and farms.
5-Tine Subsoiler
A powerful and efficient deep-tillage option for farms seeking higher field capacity over larger areas.
9-Tine Subsoiler with Roller
Designed for high field capacity over large areas, the 9-tine configuration combines deep loosening with surface finishing in a single pass thanks to its rear roller system.

Promotes Air, Water and Root Movement in the Soil
Excessive soil compaction can reduce pore space and restrict the movement of air and water. Deep loosening mechanically fractures the compacted layer and helps restore natural pore spaces within the soil.
This can provide significant benefits for deep-rooted field crops, orchards and agricultural areas exposed to prolonged heavy tractor traffic.
Where Can It Be Used?
Compacted Field Soils
Suitable for loosening field layers compacted by heavy tractor and equipment traffic.
Post-Harvest Tillage
Suitable for deep-tillage operations carried out after harvest to prepare the soil for the next production season.
Orchards
With the appropriate model and operating conditions, it can be used to loosen compacted layers in orchard soils.
Pre-Sowing Preparation
Can be used as part of primary soil preparation before sowing in areas where the hardpan needs to be broken.
Key Features of the SİSSAN Subsoiler – Chisel Plough
Deep Loosening
Provides effective operation in compacted subsoil layers.
Rear Roller Finishing
Rear roller system that helps break down loosened soil and level the field surface.
Robust Construction
Heavy-duty frame and tine structure designed for the high operating loads encountered in demanding field conditions.
Wide Range of Models
Solutions for different tractor power ranges and farm requirements with 1-tine, 3-tine, 5-tine and 9-tine roller-equipped models.
When using a subsoiler, the appropriate model, number of tines and working depth should be selected according to soil type, moisture conditions, tractor power, traction capacity and the depth of the compacted layer in the field.
